About the Hot Air Balloon Flight
Hot air balloon flight in the scenic Magalies River Valley with Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safari Team.
An out-of-this-world adventure! A Bucket List tick! Your unforgettable journey over the Magalies River Valley begins at sunrise. Walk down our lantern-lit pathway to enjoy pre-flight coffee and tea with freshly baked muffins while you watch the balloons being inflated. Embark on your 1-hour exciting sunrise flight, taking in the views of the majestic Magaliesburg mountains and river valley. Celebrate landing with a glass of sparkling wine or juice while the crew packs up the balloons. Return to our Clubhouse Pavilion for a delectable buffet breakfast overlooking the mountains and manicured gardens.

West of Hartbeespoort dam, approximately an hour from Johannesburg/Pretoria.
Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safaris Launch site is situated at R560 Skeerpoort, 2146.

We have a range of balloons and baskets available that can accommodate between 6 and 16 passengers for a shared flight. Please note that the size of balloon allocated for your group/reservation will be dependent on the combined weight and number of passengers for that day

A hot cup of tea, coffee, and biscuits served from our beautifully appointed clubhouse pavilion before your flight just after sunrise.
The flight of approximately 60 minutes over the Magalies River Valley which boasts some of the best ballooning weather in the world.
On landing, a celebratory glass of sparkling wine whilst the professional crew pack up the balloons.
Our Clubhouse Pavilion, overlooking the beautiful Magalies Mountains, serve a delectable breakfast.

Clubhouse Pavilion
The established Clubhouse Pavilion is only accessible to ticket-bearing passengers and pre-booked guests. The exquisite Clubhouse ensures that whether it be a romantic celebration for 2 or a large corporate event it can be experienced in unassailable style.
Duration of the activity
We advise passengers to set aside approximately 3 to 4 hours for the morning’s activity (check-in, flight, return transfer to launch site and breakfast).
